Patient Care Technician - Lutheran Hospital

$3,000 sign on bonus for Full-Time!

Under the direct supervision of a Nurse, the Patient Care Tech provides basic nursing care for the personal and comfort needs of the patient.

**Please note: shifts will include a weekend and holiday rotation

Shift Differentials:

+ Shift differential of $2.65/hr for hours worked 3pm-11pm

+ Shift differential of $2.65/hr for hours worked from 11pm-7am

+ Weekend shift differential of $2.50/hr for hours worked between Friday 11pm to Monday 7am

Responsibilities

+ PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.

+ Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.

+ Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.

+ Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

Experience: Must be at least 16 years old

Please note: Some positions may require at least 18 years old

License(s)/Certification(s): Successful completion and documentation of one of the following:

+ CNA Certification preferred

+ Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification

+ Valid Driver's License when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons

+ Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months from date of hire

Minimum Experience: Comprehensive on-the-job training provided — no prior experience necessary
