Overview

Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMRelief Charge Nurse Hours - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Across our three Quad Cities campuses, Surgical Services delivers exceptional care in a state-of-the-art surgical environment. Our departments include 16 operating rooms, two dedicated open-heart suites, and two specialized urology rooms, supporting a broad spectrum of procedures such as cardiothoracic, vascular, robotic, orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, urology, podiatry, and cataract surgery. This dynamic setting offers access to advanced technology, diverse clinical experiences, and a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team committed to outstanding patient outcomes.

Under the general direction of the Surgical Services Nurse Manager, this role provides leadership and clinical oversight across all Surgical Services departments, including the Operating Room, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, and Endoscopy at our Bettendorf, Rock Island, and Moline campuses. The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing patient care while ensuring continuous 24/7 operational excellence. Through the application of professional nursing expertise, sound clinical judgment, and decisive leadership—particularly in high-acuity or crisis situations—this role supports patients, families, and staff in delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

+ Plans and implements patient care in the Surgical Services Departments.

+ Contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to the patients and their families.

+ Plans, organizes, and directs activities within respective department for 24/7 activities.

Qualifications

Education:

+ Diploma from an RN program.

Experience:

+ Three years acute care experience.

License(s)/Certification(s):

+ Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.

+ Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.

+ Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

+ Must possess and maintain ACLS
