    Under the supervision of the Clinical Coordinator or Case Manager performs the primary function of an RN in the care of patients in the Wound Healing Center. Responsible for meeting the established WHC Standards of Nursing Practice in the day to day management of all assigned patients. Assists the Physicians and Case Managers with the implementation of wound treatment plans. Participates in safety drills and Quarterly Program Evaluation. Assists in department operations in areas of laundry, supplies, cleaning, room preparation and clinic flow and productivity.

     

    Adheres to established medical and nursing practice standards related to wound care. Assesses the physical status and presentation of the patients at each clinic visit including wound etiology, measurements, staging, grading, and photography Monitors and Measures pain levels and documents interventions. Assess and monitor medications, fall status, and ADL status and report changes to the case manager. Monitors psychosocial needs of patients in the ambulatory care setting. Follows Physician orders. Implements the nursing wound healing care plan on assigned patients. Implements other nursing care plans as appropriate. Educates patients and caregivers for continuity of care. Communicates and documents assessments, needs, and patient care delivery in EMR and with other agencies as appropriate to coordinate care. Assists in clinic flow and room preparation for efficient turnover of caseload. Maintains adequate par levels of laundry and supplies. Demonstrates initiative and ability to enhance clinic flow by being productive during clinic hours. Participates in safety drills and Quarterly Program Evaluation activities and PI studies.

     

    Current Alabama or MSL RN License and BLS. ??????? One year experience in med surg/acute care or wound healing center is preferred.
