How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
As a FinOps Python Developer, you will play a pivotal
role in Delta’s FinOps team, driving automation and data solutions to optimize
cloud spend and foster a cost-conscious engineering culture. You will leverage
your expertise in Python and database management to design, build, and maintain
FinOps automation tools, data pipelines, and reporting systems.
+ Design, develop, and maintain FinOps automation solutions using Python, including scripts, workflows, and integrations with cloud cost management platforms.
+ Buildand manage databases to support FinOps data analysis, including schema design,data ingestion, and transformation.
+ Writeand optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
+ Createand present technical documentation, training materials, and educationalcontent for FinOps best practices and automation tools.
+ Providetechnical leadership on FinOps automation projects, ensuring code quality,scalability, and maintainability.
+ Implementdata lifecycle management strategies in AWS S3, leveraging automation to reducestorage costs and maintain data accessibility.
+ Integrateand automate data flows between AWS, Azure, and internal systems using Python,Lambda, and serverless technologies.
+ Designand implement relational and NoSQL data models using Python, supportinganalytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ 5+ years of experience as a Python developer, with a focus on automation, data engineering, or FinOps-related projects.
+ 2+ years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies, including cost management and optimization.
+ Strong experience designing and maintaining databases, with proven ability to write complex SQL queries and perform data modification.
+ Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and API integrations.
+ Experience with AWS tools such as Cost Explorer, Cost Optimization Hub, and Compute Optimizer.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Familiarity with third-party cloud cost optimization tools.
+ Experience with FinOps automation frameworks and best practices
+ Experience with CI/CD tools, version control, and Agile methodologies.
+ Demonstrated ability to automate routine system tasks and streamline operational workflows using Python and shell scripting.
