Fairview Hospital's Electrophysiology Department, part of Cleveland Clinic's Heart Center, focuses on diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) using advanced techniques and technologies. They offer a range of services including EP studies, ablation procedures, device implantation (pacemakers and ICDs) and specialized clinics for atrial fibrillation and syncope. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will provide regular professional nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in a variety of healthcare settings. In this position, you may travel to Avon Hospital one-two times per pay to support the team and assess the labs as needed.

A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.
+ Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
+ Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
+ Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
+ Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team.
+ Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning.
+ Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care.
+ Educate patients and families.
+ Cover other nursing roles in the department and/or hospitals.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
+ Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire
+ One year of recent experience as an RN OR Licensed RN with at least two years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department
+ Demonstrated clinical competence
+ Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification must be obtained within five (5) years of hire
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Two years of recent experience as an RN
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification
+ Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
+ IV skills

Physical Requirements:
+ Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
+ Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
+ Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
+ Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
+ Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
+ Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $33.50
Maximum hourly: $53.60
