• Research Assistant (40% part-time)

    Description

    The UCLA Center for Cannabis and Cannabinoids is seeking a part-time Research Assistant (up to 16 hours per week) to support ongoing clinical research projects. In this role, you will help facilitate day-to-day study activities, including conducting participant screening interviews both in person and by phone, obtaining informed consent, carrying out study procedures, and assisting participants with questionnaires. You will also be responsible for collecting and managing study data, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and providing general laboratory and administrative support as needed. This position offers hands-on experience in clinical research within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

     

    *This is a limited 40% limited, part-time opportunity which may convert to career*

     

    Hourly range: $27.85-$33.21

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + BS or BA degree or combination of education and equivalent experience

    + Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with all staff, faculty, students, patients, volunteers and the public on the phone and in person.

    + Must have strong computer skills, proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office programs - especially Microsoft Excel.

    + Ability to compile and track data.

    + Skill in stabling priorities, working independently and completing assignments in a timely manner.

    + Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust workload.

    + Working knowledge of PubMed and End Note.
