• QA Engineer III

    Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a QA Engineer to join their team. As a QA Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department, supporting Application, System, and Inter-System Testing Teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and strong collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    Job Title: QA Engineer

     

    Pay Range: $50/hr. - $55/hr.

     

    What’s the Job?

     

    + Perform repeatable testing procedures and processes to ensure application and system quality.

    + Verify triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity, and hardware or system specifications.

    + Interpret, modify, and troubleshoot code as needed, including C/C++, C#, batch files, Perl scripts, queries, and stored procedures.

    + Design and develop automated test harnesses focusing on application, system, and inter-system level issues.

    + Identify and address system/application performance issues, threading conflicts, bottlenecks, and intermittent failures.

    Must have skills:

    1. Hardware quality problem solving, familiarity with consumer electronics hardware development

    2. Hardware Problem Solving skills

    3. Effective communication skills across time zones

    Nice to have skills:

    1. 8D and PFMEA (Quality tools) experience

    2. Experience working on consumer electronics products

     

    What’s Needed?

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; some business/functional knowledge or industry experience preferred.

    + Experience with database programming (SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, Informix, and/or DB2).

    + Software testing experience in web-based or Windows client/server environments.

    + Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#, C/C++, SQL, and strong knowledge of software development lifecycle.

    + Knowledge of software quality assurance practices, testing methodologies, and project management principles.
