    We are supporting a client who designs automated systems for customers in aerospace, medical device, and advanced manufacturing. They are looking for a **Mechanical Engineer** with a strong machine design background who enjoys working across the full lifecycle of a system from concept and CAD to assembly, testing, and customer support.

     

    This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a less-structured environment, wears multiple hats, and likes seeing their designs physically built and tested.

     

    **Job Title:** Mechanical Engineer

    **Location:** Eden Prairie, MN

    **Salary:** 90-110k

    What You’ll Do

    + Design industrial heating and automated systems (approx. 75% design-focused role)

    + Create machine designs from scratch, including frames, mounting structures, and assemblies

    + Select mechanical components and materials and support quoting and cost estimation

    + Develop systems for:

    + Infrared and industrial heating

    + Heating equipment for extruders

    + High-speed, high-temperature test systems for aerospace customers

    + Custom benches and equipment for medical device manufacturing, including catheter and stent finishing (electropolishing)

    + Work on a mix of:

    + Repeat systems (~70%)

    + Fully custom designs (~30%)

    + Build and assemble the systems you design

    + Perform checkout, testing, and troubleshooting

    + Run basic simulations and analyses to validate designs

    What We’re Looking For

    + BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar

    + 3+ years of experience in mechanical or machine design is targeted

    + Hands-on experience with automated systems or industrial equipment

    + Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar)

    + Experience selecting components and designing for manufacturability
