    Introduction

     

    The CAPA Systems Quality Engineer drives both external customer satisfaction and internal manufacturing compliance through corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes. The position requires a subject matter expert in data-driven risk mitigation and continuous process and system improvement. This engineer will leverage data to continuously enhance systems, define and maintain clear KPIs, and promote a strong quality and customer focused culture. Responsibilities include handling critical customer cases from start to finish, applying root cause analysis tools, training others in problem-solving methods, and developing CAPA metrics. This role collaborates with plant staff and engineering, reviews and validates SalesForce feedback, escalates key issues, and ensures effective resolution of customer concerns and future issue prevention through continuous improvement of quality systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Validate, classify, and transcribe SalesForce feedback into CAPA systems (EtQ, SharePoint, etc.)

    + Coordinate with plant operations, engineering, and commercial teams to address issues

    + Escalate critical matters to leadership when necessary

    + Develop and monitor KPIs and action plans for customer satisfaction

    + Lead training sessions on feedback processes and root cause analysis

    + Lead feedback efforts to align SalesForce, SAP, and EtQ processes

    + Report division quality data monthly using PowerBI, SalesForce, and ETQ

    + Ensure systematic resolution of similar issues division-wide “look across all processes”

    + Optimize customer quality processes and align requirements with system standards.

    + Work with a team to drive Lean Principles in the Divisional Quality Processes.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science

    + 5+ years of manufacturing experience, time spent in a quality or process role

    + Citizenship: US Citizenship required

    + ISO 9001 auditor preferred

    + Belt Certification: Certified master black belt (or green belt) with multiple project experience, both individually accomplished and group/multisite preferred

    + Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification is preferred

    Desired Qualifications

    + Experience with ISO 13485, 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 standards

    + Working knowledge of PCPD, SPC, MSA, DOE, Statistics, DMAIC, and Total Quality methods

    + Cross functional project management experience

    + Experience with problem solving tools such as Kepner Tregoe Problem Solving & Decision Making

    + Experience in processes for both job shop and continuous manufacturing

    + Familiar with Sharepoint, SalesForce, SAP, PowerBi, EtQ, Camstar and WindchillC

    + Customer service experience

    Travel

    + Approximately 25% domestic travel is expected, with the possibility of international travel as needed. Travel requirements may increase depending on project demands.

    The range for this position is $91,649.00 - $126,018.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
