Basic Job Functions:
The Power Systems Engineer primary responsibilities will beto configure, commission, and manage devices. Perform Load flow, Short circuit studies including relay coordination, arc flash analysis, transient analysis, and harmonic analysis. Performing programming microprocessor relays designed for power system protection and control, using microprocessors to analyze data and make decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and
+ two (2) years of experience in a power role with experience in power distribution, transformers, and electrical codes/standards.
+ Experience must include: Utilizing AutoCAD to create detailed drawings, schematics, and blueprints for electrical systems and other equipment.
+ Simulation: ETAP, SEL (AcSELerator) to configure, commission, and manage devices. Perform Load flow, Short circuit studies including relay coordination, arc flash analysis, transient analysis, and harmonic analysis. Performing programming microprocessor relays designed for power system protection and control, using microprocessors to analyze data and make decisions.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Work with the production and maintenance teams in the selection, installation, maintenance, operation, and upgrade of plant equipment including automation systems, MCCs, and High Voltage Power Distribution (transformers, reactors, and STATCOM). Inspect and maintain high voltage (230KV), medium voltage (34.5, 13.8 KV), low voltage (660, 480V) equipment such as two 25 MVA, 28 1-5 MVA power transformers; SF6 (230 KV), R-MAG (34.5 KV), VHK (15 KV), K-DON (4000-800 V) circuit breakers; instrumental transformers (CT, PT), protection relays, induction and synchronous motors, GIS switchgear, DC (Battery) storage, and harmonic reduction filter. Perform Load flow, short circuit studies, protection device coordination, relay coordination, ARC flash analysis study through ETAP 2024, transient analysis, and harmonic analysis. Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed drawings, schematics, and blueprints for electrical systems and other equipment. Provide technical expertise to the maintenance and operations teams through project leadership, predictive and preventative practices, and hands-on capability to maintain the power systems. Simulation: ETAP, SEL (AcSELerator) to configure, commission, and manage devices. Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to work at hand. Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge for assisting with servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, tools, devices, moving parts, and machines/equipment. Perform programming microprocessor relays designed for power system protection and control, using microprocessors to analyze data and make decisions. Work closely in coordination with the roll mill, melt shop, and maintenance team throughout the facility.
