The Edinburg Center is seeking an Assistant Controller; this role will have a hybrid schedule with on-site and remote presence. Occasional extended hours during audits, UFR preparation, and fiscal year-end.
The Assistant Controller plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations for The Edinburg Center. This position supports the Controller in managing accounting processes, preparing regulatory filings and driving process improvements. The Assistant Controller provides support to the accounting team while remaining hands-on with complex accounting tasks, audits, compliance requirements, and contract management.

Who you are:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred.
+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and fund accounting principles.
+ Familiarity with Massachusetts UFR requirements and EIM billing system preferred.
+ Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
