What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related issues to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and directing visitors as necessary.

+ Support emergency response efforts by following location-specific procedures and coordinating with Allied Universal and/or client representatives as required.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate written reports of daily activities, incidents, and security-related matters encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
