Job Title: Ophthalmic Scribe
Job Description
As an Ophthalmic Scribe, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless documentation of physician visits within the EMR system. You will support multiple physicians, assist with instruments as requested, conduct work-ups after doctor visits, and communicate with patients based on the documented plan provided by the doctor.

Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in medical assisting and terminology.
+ Experience with patient care and medical documentation.
+ Familiarity with EMR systems and data entry.
+ Typing skills and knowledge of ophthalmology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a life science.
+ Minimum of 1 year of on-site scribing experience.
+ Ophthalmic experience preferred.
+ Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of patient care.
+ Driven and 'Type A' personality.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced, handling 80-100 patients a day. You will work Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on clinic needs. Initial training will take place at the admin building in the Galleria. You will be part of a team of 8-24 individuals, with each physician requiring eight clinic staff members. Your home clinic will be one of the busiest in Houston, seeing 100+ patients daily. Employees are assigned to three clinics, with occasional travel to other clinics for training, with mileage reimbursed. The dress code is navy blue scrubs, with short and groomed nails, and hair must be tied back.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaumont, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
