Overview:

We're currently hiring an Engineering Technician / Engineering Liasson for our client in Portsmouth, VA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Lead other technicians and plans work as required/directed.

+ Work hands-on with hardware to assemble, integrate, and test components and complex subsystems.

+ Analyze and resolve issues that arise during the integration process, which may include creating and implementing solutions for non-conformances.

+ Participate in the documentation of integration processes and best practices to enhance team knowledge and efficiency.

+ Read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, engineering instructions, and modification instructions to understand and execute technical requirements.

+ Work with other technicians, engineers, and departments to coordinate projects, solve problems, and improve system efficiency.

Qualifications:

+ Adept at identifying and resolving complex issues under pressure.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and schematics.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Extensive familiarity with a variety of the electrical field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.

+ Extensive knowledge of component functionality.

+ Adept in troubleshooting electrical control panel problems.

+ Must be able to communicate effectively with others.

Minimum Requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ 12 years of experience in the field or related field.

+ Must be knowledgeable of 1st 2nd and 3rd Class skills and possess a high degree of creativity and latitude.

Physical Demands:

+ While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell.

+ Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Portsmouth, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
