• Continuous Improvement Engineer

    Job Title: CI Engineer

     

    + Lead daily evaluation of equipment performance and line flow to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and ensure processes align with Lean manufacturing principles.

    + Coach, mentor, and train team members to build Continuous Improvement capability, fostering a culture of problem solving, ownership, and daily Kaizen.

    + Use structured problem‑solving tools (PDCA, 5 Why, Root Cause Analysis) to resolve downtime, quality, and safety concerns. Prioritize issues based on impact and ensure countermeasures are implemented and sustained.

    + Support frontline teams by guiding them through PDCA cycles, helping them identify concerns, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.

    + Review daily performance metrics, identify trends, and drive actions to improve outflow, quality, safety, and equipment reliability. Ensure KPIs are visible, accurate, and used for decision‑making.

    + Manage and execute improvement projects aligned to the business plan, new model launches, and process innovation, ensuring outcomes improve productivity, efficiency, and stability.

    + Continuously assess manpower, structure, and budget requirements to ensure operational effectiveness. Use capacity analysis and standard work to achieve optimal resource utilization.

     

    This role is more focused on cost planning for new businesses. More technical thinking and implementation than managing over a project.

     

    Need someone with experience who has implemented long-term strategies

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $118400.00/yr.

     

    Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

    This is a fully onsite position in Burlington,NC.
