Job Title: Technician** **Job Description
The Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of various systems, including Voice and Data, Fiber Optics, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Security, Access Control, Wireless Systems, and Nurse Call.
Responsibilities
+ Install low-voltage cabling for systems such as voice, data, security, paging, and nurse-call systems.
+ Perform fiber splicing and termination.
+ Terminate cables following color codes.
+ Test for polarity, connectivity, and the person racks and patch panels.
+ Set up computer rooms.
+ Process paperwork accurately, neatly, and timely.
+ Maintain compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
+ Install pathways and cabling.
+ Analyze blueprints for job site knowledge.
+ Anticipate equipment, procedures, and training for upcoming tasks.
+ Complete overall job layouts for projects of limited scope and size.
+ Lead small crews when necessary.
+ Enforce a safe jobsite and ensure compliance with company safety and OSHA standards.
+ Install and terminate peripheral devices.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with low voltage systems.
+ Ability to install and service Cat5 and Cat6 cabling.
+ Expertise in fiber splicing and cabling.
+ Experience in repair, assembly, service, construction, and installation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to bend, lift, and carry equipment regularly.
+ Capability to work in tight spaces and install devices.
+ Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
+ Proficiency in terminating cables according to color codes.
+ Ability to climb ladders and perform extended overhead cabling.
+ Experience in gripping, pushing, pulling, and feeding cables.
+ Valid driver's license and ability to drive to job sites.
+ Willingness to travel out of state and potentially by air.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Work involves both indoor and outdoor settings, depending on the jobsite location. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, and may involve travel to various job sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookfield, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
