• Test Engineer

    Actalent (Palm City, FL)


    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    Develop certification test plans and reports to meet regulatory and OEM requirements.

     

    Coordinate with project teams to define scope, schedules, risks, quotes, and design details affecting certification.

     

    Review and approve design changes from a certification perspective.

     

    Oversee and assist with test article builds and conformity inspections.

     

    Prepare FAA certification documentation for submission to regulatory agencies and completion centers/ODA partners.

     

    Perform hands‑on static testing in the lab and support dynamic crash testing at external labs.

     

    Support design optimization activities.

     

    Prepare project documents, including certification files, correspondence, and meeting minutes with aviation authorities.

     

    Ensure project phases are completed on time and within budget.

     

    Represent the company in meetings with government authorities or industry working groups as needed.

     

    Interpret airworthiness requirements and advise internal teams on certification matters.

     

    Work on‑site full‑time with occasional travel for testing.

     

    Maintain a safe, compliant, and confidential work environment.

     

    Work extended or irregular hours when required.

    Experience with Creo/Pro‑E and AutoCAD.

     

    Familiarity with FAA or military aircraft certification is a plus.

     

    Strong engineering mechanics knowledge is beneficial.

     

    Ability to understand classical hand calculations and basic stress/FEM analysis.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palm City, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $60.00/hr.
