    Job Title: Assembler 2

    Job Description

    Under the direction of production supervision, the Production Assembler I is responsible for building the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost. This role requires adherence to company production standards, customer specifications, and delivery requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble products following engineering documents to ensure the highest quality products meeting company standards, production goals, and customer specifications.

    + Operate computers to check schedules and update the manufacturing status of jobs.

    + Perform operator-based Go-No Go testing per procedures.

    + Monitor the quality of parts used in the assembly process.

    + Assist in training other employees and resolve inquiries and problems.

    + Perform material handling activities as required.

    + Review assembly processes and methods, recommending changes for continuous improvement in productivity and quality.

    + Interface with engineering to accurately communicate information.

    + Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, and reject tickets.

    + Participate actively in team meetings and group discussions.

    + Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

    + Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

    Essential Skills

    + High School diploma

    + Up to 2 years of experience in assembly

    + Hands-on industrial experience

    + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions

    + Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with electrical propulsion systems and drive train units for railcars and various industrial customers

    + Well-tenured and strong interview skills

    Work Environment

     

    The work takes place in a very clean and organized manufacturing facility with rotating stations for the electrical assembly of PDUs, promoting a structured and efficient work environment.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
