Job Title: Survey Project Manager

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to oversee land and construction surveying projects from initiation to completion. This person will lead technical teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, ensure quality deliverables, and manage budgets and schedules—all while driving efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
+ Project Management & Execution
+ Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets for various survey types (boundary, topographic, construction, route).
+ Manage all project phases—planning, fieldwork coordination, QA/QC, closeout—ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.
+ Monitor budgets, timesheets, billing, and project documentation.
+ Team Leadership
+ Supervise field crews, survey technicians, and CAD staff; mentor and assign tasks effectively.
+ Promote a high-performance culture focused on quality, efficiency, and collaboration.
+ Technical Oversight & Quality Control
+ Perform QA/QC checks on survey data, CAD drawings, plats, and as-built deliverables.
+ Utilize tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble, Leica, or MicroStation for processing and analysis.
+ Client & Stakeholder Management
+ Serve as primary contact: lead project kickoff, status reviews, issue resolution, and final sign-off.
+ Represent the company in meetings, site visits, and potential client pursuit.
+ Business Development & Growth
+ Assist in proposal development, estimate preparation, and resource planning.
+ Identify new project opportunities and help expand service offerings.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Education & Licensure
+ Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field—or equivalent work experience.
+ Active NC Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or eligible within 12 months preferred.
+ Experience
+ 5+ years of land and/or construction surveying experience, including supervisory or project management experience.
+ Background in boundary, topographic, route, construction staking, and as-built surveys.
+ Technical Skills
+ Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble/Leica survey software; familiarity with CAD platforms like MicroStation a plus.
+ Strong GIS, drone/UAS (FAA Part 107), and point-cloud processing skills beneficial.
+ Leadership & Communication
+ Excellent verbal and written communication; strong problem-solving and client-facing skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to supervise teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage multiple projects.
+ Additional Requirements
+ Valid NC driver’s license with clean driving record.
+ Willingness to travel across North Carolina project sites as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
+ Competitive salary range: $70,000–$130,000+, depending on experience, technical expertise, licensure, and location.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cary, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15100.00 - $15100.00/yr.
