Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

+ Support full lifecycle engineering design and development activities for established UxS platforms and innovative new products.

+ Apply technical expertise and problem-solving skills to execute systems engineering tasks, including:

+ Requirements analysis and impact assessments

+ Systems modeling (SysML)

+ Trade studies and requirements derivation

+ Design review support, integration planning, testing, verification, and risk management

+ Engineering analysis and documentation

+ Prepare and present systems engineering deliverables to internal teams and external customers during program milestone reviews.

+ Collaborate daily with technical leads, program managers, planners, technicians, and cross-functional engineering teams.

+ Drive assigned tasks to completion independently, with guidance and mentorship as needed.

+ Foster strong collaboration within the team, across departments, and with customers.

Qualifications:

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of related experience (systems or test engineering preferred)

+ OR Master’s degree in Engineering with 1+ year of related experience

Technical Skills:

+ Experience in hardware/software integration, requirements derivation and allocation, or architecture design

+ Familiarity with DOORS, JIRA, and Cameo/MagicDraw (strongly preferred)

+ Knowledge of Windows and/or Unix operating systems (plus)

+ MBSE experience or certification (plus)

Industry Experience:

+ Prior work in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment (preferred)

Additional Skills:

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Other Requirements:

+ Ability to travel up to 15%

+ Active Secret clearance preferred; Secret eligibility required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hunt Valley, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $90.00/hr.
