    Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

     

    As a Lab Technician, you will play an essential role in supporting our laboratory operations. You will be responsible for transporting samples, performing basic calibrations, and assisting with lab tests. Your contribution will ensure the smooth functioning of our lab by maintaining cleanliness, managing inventory, and following safety guidelines.

    Responsibilities

    + Transport samples between different lab locations.

    + Receive and log samples into the tracking system.

    + Perform basic calibrations such as pH checks and assist with simple lab tests as directed.

    + Wash glassware and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized lab.

    + Manage laundry for microbiology lab items.

    + Order and stock supplies to ensure the lab is well-equipped.

    + Dispose of waste properly and adhere to safety guidelines.

    + Assist with inventory by tracking materials and ensuring proper labeling and storage.

    + Collaborate with the team to support daily lab operations and projects.

    Essential Skills

    + Laboratory handling and logging

    + Basic lab technique

    + Materials handling

    + Understanding of GMP

    + Knowledge in Chemistry and Biology

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or associate degree in a scientific or technical field preferred; relevant lab experience may substitute.

    + Prior experience in a lab, manufacturing, or regulated environment preferred.

    + Ability to follow procedures in a cGMP environment.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincolnshire, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
