    Analytical Scientist – Protein Characterization

    Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced Analytical Scientist to support the analysis and characterization of protein therapeutics. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in analytical methods, hands-on experience with MS, CE, and LC instrumentation, and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    + B.S. with 4+ years, M.S. with 2+ years, or a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biophysics, or a closely related field.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial analytical laboratory supporting protein therapeutic characterization.

    Technical Skills

    + Advanced expertise in analytical methodologies for protein therapeutics, including:

    + Mass spectrometry (MS)

    + CE-SDS

    + Ion-exchange chromatography (IEX)

    + Reverse-phase chromatography (RP)

    + Hands-on experience with MS, CE, and LC instrumentation, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

    + Proficiency with instrument operation software and data analysis tools for MS, CE, and LC.

    + Experience in:

    + Method qualification

    + Method transfers

    + Method validation

    + Method troubleshooting

    Additional Skills

    + Strong working knowledge of Excel and other statistical/data analysis software.

    + Familiarity with electronic lab notebooks (ELN).

    + Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, collaborative team environment.

    + Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

    This is a Contract position based out of Cambridge, MA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
