Job Title: CNC Milling Machine Setup Technician** **Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for setting up both new and repeat jobs in various vertical and horizontal milling machines. This role plays a critical part in manufacturing parts for recreational airplanes and will involve collaborating with different departments to enhance processes.
Responsibilities
+ Set up new and repeat jobs in a variety of vertical and horizontal milling machines.
+ Measure, examine, and test parts using CMM, optical comparator, and hand tools to ensure conformance to specifications.
+ Complete all required shop paperwork accurately and neatly.
+ Read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.
+ Gather and assemble tools, holders, and fixturing.
+ Evaluate repeat jobs for opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste.
+ Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Management on department and shop initiatives.
+ Clean and maintain machine tools to ensure all equipment stays in good working order.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with CNC milling and troubleshooting.
+ Ability to perform repeat setups and changeovers.
+ Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and complex drawings.
+ Comfortable using a variety of tools and inspection methods to ensure product quality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school education.
+ 5-10 years of related manufacturing experience.
+ Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Basic computer skills with the capacity to learn new skills as needed.
+ General knowledge of records control, statistical tools, ISO awareness, safety, and employee handbook guidelines.
+ Working knowledge of document control, customer production/equipment, product identification, process control, inspection, calibration, and inspection status.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
