    Job Title: Safety Manager** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to lead safety orientations, conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), organize safety meetings, and manage safety protocols for both internal teams and subcontractors. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining high safety standards in a dynamic and growing environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct safety orientations and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

    + Organize and lead safety meetings.

    + Manage safety programs for internal teams and subcontractors.

    + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

    + Perform audits and inspections to assess safety practices.

    + Provide safety training to staff and subcontractors.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficient in solar, electrical, and construction safety practices.

    + In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, including OSHA 30 and OSHA 500.

    + Experience in safety management, compliance, and EHS protocols.

    + Ability to conduct safety audits and provide training.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in safety or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of project experience in construction safety.

    + Completion of OSHA 500 Training Course with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a construction safety role.

    + CHST designation with at least four years in a construction safety role.

    Work Environment

    Work on a 20 MW solar farm with a schedule from Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 5:30 PM. The position involves performing electrical work and requires wearing appropriate work clothing on site. Qualified workers receive an $80 per diem for each day worked.

    This is a Contract position based out of Charles City, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
