Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to join our client's team in the Triad. This role is vital in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving process improvements across the organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, you will supervise a team while collaborating with various departments to maintain accurate financial reporting and strengthen internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units and IT teams to ensure operational compliance and enhance process efficiency.

• Lead monthly financial reviews and closing processes, presenting key insights and analytics to the executive team.

• Conduct audits of business processes to identify risks, establish controls, and provide coaching on best practices.

• Oversee compliance with accounting standards, including fixed assets, lease accounting, and investment recording.

• Prepare and analyze monthly cash flow statements, reconciliations, and complex balance sheet accounts.

• Coordinate annual filings such as 1099s and support external audits, including providing lead schedules for tax returns.

• Supervise and mentor staff members, encouraging attention to detail and technical growth.

• Ensure accuracy in core financial operations, including account reconciliations, wire requests, expense reviews, and vendor management.

• Review collections processes for compliance and accuracy.

• Partner with IT to optimize accounting systems and implement automation to reduce manual inefficiencies.

Requirements • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles.

• Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.

• Expertise in general ledger management and account reconciliations.

• Familiarity with financial statement audits and external audit coordination.

• Ability to prepare detailed cash flow statements and perform complex balance sheet analyses.

• Skilled in supervising and mentoring financial staff.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage multiple priorities.

• Commitment to staying updated on evolving accounting regulations and industry practices.
