Description

We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Babylon, New York. This is a long-term contract position that offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file individual and corporate tax returns with precision and attention to detail.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Analyze financial information to identify potential tax-saving opportunities.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and apply them effectively in tax preparation.

• Provide thorough and attentive guidance to clients regarding their tax-related inquiries.

• Review and verify all documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Maintain confidentiality and security of client information.

• Utilize tax preparation software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Collaborate with team members to address complex tax scenarios.

• Manage multiple tax preparation projects while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tax Preparer.

• Proficiency in preparing individual and corporate tax returns.

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage flexible schedules.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients.

• Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of client data.
