    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Deerfield Beach, Florida. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will assist in managing financial tasks, including accounts payable and general accounting support, while maintaining organized records and ensuring accuracy.

    Responsibilities:

    • Verify, code, and post accounts payable transactions for review by the controller.

    • Print, process, and manage accounts payable documentation.

    • Prepare and issue 1099 forms in accordance with regulations.

    • Maintain organized records for accounts payable and invoices.

    • File invoices and ensure proper record-keeping.

    • Assist in compiling financial data for reports and analysis.

    • Take on special accounting projects as assigned to support the department.

    • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.

     

    Requirements • Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

     

    • Experience with bank reconciliations and financial record-keeping.

    • Skilled in utilizing QuickBooks for accounting tasks.

    • Ability to accurately code invoices and ensure compliance.

    • Strong organizational skills to maintain thorough and precise records.

    • Effective communication skills for interacting with subcontractors and team members.

    • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    • Prior experience in the construction or contractor industry is a plus.
