Description

Robert Half is looking for a Logistics Clerk to join our team in Georgetown NT, Kentucky. This contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient coordination of logistics and dispatch operations during third shift hours, Tuesday through Saturday. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility to work overtime on weekends when required.

This is a 3rd shift position!

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate dispatch operations efficiently during third shift hours, ensuring smooth workflows and timely deliveries.

• Perform accurate data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date records of shipments and logistics activities.

• Communicate effectively with freight carriers to schedule and confirm transportation arrangements.

• Address customer inquiries and provide exceptional support within a call center environment.

• Monitor shipping and receiving processes to ensure compliance with company policies.

• Collaborate with logistics and distribution teams to optimize operational efficiency.

• Resolve any issues or delays in the movement of goods by liaising with relevant stakeholders.

• Adapt to varying workloads and provide support during peak times, including weekend overtime.

• Maintain organized documentation related to dispatch and logistics activities.

• Utilize industry knowledge to enhance service quality and meet client expectations.

Requirements • Proven experience in dispatching within the logistics industry.

• Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records.

• Strong communication skills, particularly in customer service within a call center setting.

• Familiarity with freight carriers and their operational processes.

• Knowledge of logistics and distribution practices.

• Ability to manage shipping and receiving tasks effectively.

• Flexibility to work third shift hours and adjust to weekend overtime when needed.
