Description We are looking for a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Houston, Texas. This Contract to permanent position involves overseeing oil logistics operations, ensuring accuracy in documentation, and maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in logistics software.
Responsibilities:
• Verify and reconcile tickets, oil barrel counts, and other critical data while maintaining precise records.
• Assign trucking schedules for timely oil pickups based on priorities such as tank levels and capacity.
• Establish clear communication with drivers, field teams, and internal departments to address delays or operational challenges.
• Investigate discrepancies in reported data and implement solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales teams, trucking companies, and field operations to meet customer needs and prevent issues like tank overflows.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and prepare detailed reports for audits and monthly reviews.
• Analyze operational inefficiencies and recommend strategies to enhance processes and reduce costs.
• Utilize logistics software and tools, including Excel, to manage data and generate reports.
• Coordinate efforts across departments to ensure seamless logistical operations and customer satisfaction. Requirements • Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in oil movement or related industries.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with teams and vendors.
• Problem-solving ability to address logistical challenges and discrepancies efficiently.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools, including Excel and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations within the logistics industry.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining reliability and consistency.
