    Description

    Our client is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven Care Coordinator to support administrative and care coordination functions for pediatric patients receiving critical medical equipment and supplies. This role requires strong communication skills, comfort handling high-volume phone interactions, and the ability to navigate complex healthcare and insurance processes while maintaining compliance standards.

     

    This is an immediate need with interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Coordinate care services for pediatric patients and foster families

    + Communicate regularly with patient families, physicians, and community partners

    + Submit patient requests to physicians and follow up on required documentation

    + Secure eligibility information and request prior authorizations from insurance providers

    + Support medical billing and coding activities as needed

    + Maintain strict compliance with Medicaid and HIPAA regulations

    + Collaborate with referring agencies and healthcare providers

    + Coordinate durable medical equipment (DME) services

    + Deliver timely, accurate service while maintaining professionalism in high-stress situations

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Prior experience in DME, medical billing, utilization management, or care coordination preferred

    + Familiarity with Medicaid processes and insurance authorization workflows

    + Brightree software experience is a plus

    + Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Comfortable handling frequent and sometimes emotionally intense phone conversations

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
