Parts Counter Sales Specialist

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (No evenings or weekends)

We are partnering with a client in Schenectady, NY to fill a Parts Counter Sales Specialist role. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical product knowledge who enjoys combining customer service, sales support, and hands-on order fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare accurate quotations for customer product inquiries

+ Provide customers with detailed product information and technical guidance

+ Process sales orders from initial inquiry through fulfillment

+ Respond promptly to customer questions and follow up as needed

+ Pull, package, and prepare orders for pickup or delivery (parts, fittings, pipe, fixtures, etc.)

+ Design, size, and troubleshoot hydronic heating systems, including baseboard, radiant, and steam

+ Participate in networking events, training sessions, and professional groups to support sales growth

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ 3+ years of relevant industry experience

+ Strong technical knowledge of products and system design (hydronic/heating experience preferred)

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Self-motivated with a positive, customer-focused attitude

+ Professional appearance and demeanor
