    Description

    We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented REMOTE Payroll Clerk to join our team on a short-term contract basis in Irondale, Alabama. You have the opportunity to be FULLY REMOTE or go into the office. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process weekly payroll data, including employee hours, paid leave, deductions, and other compensation details.

    • Verify and ensure proper deductions for taxes, benefits, and other withholdings are accurately applied.

    • Conduct audits to reconcile payroll records with external vendors and resolve discrepancies promptly.

    • Collaborate with the Finance team to reconcile payroll transactions with the general ledger.

    • Assist with other payroll-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

    Requirements

    • At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, including a minimum of six months in payroll processing.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Dayforce Ceridian preferred

    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate payroll data and generate accurate reports.

    • Ability to quickly learn and navigate payroll software.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Effective verbal communication skills.

    • Successful completion of a motor vehicle check is required.
