Description

Are you passionate about accounting and eager to advance your career in the dynamic world of real estate? Our client, a respected real estate company, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for accounting professionals with hands-on experience using Yardi to make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Full cycle accounting and bookkeeping, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), billing, collections, and bank reconciliations

+ Monitor and manage AR receipt application, invoice creation, statements, and collections

+ Manage AP processes: 3-way match, expense coding, vendor relations, weekly check runs, wire payments, accruals, and 1099 filings

+ Support month-end close and financial forecasting

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate records and reporting

+ Utilize Yardi software daily for property management accounting tasks

Requirements

Requirements:

+ 2+ years of full cycle accounting experience, ideally in the real estate industry

+ Working knowledge of Yardi (required)

+ Strong skills in AP, AR, billing, and collections

+ Experience with bank reconciliations, financial forecasting, and month-end close activities

+ Advanced understanding of expense coding, vendor management, accruals, and 1099 filings

+ Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes

+ Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience supporting both small business and mid-sized environments

+ Stability and reliability demonstrated through long-term roles

+ Payroll processing skills are a plus
