Job Description:

The Nursing Director role is a critical leadership position responsible for oversight of programmatic rollouts, ensuring timely and consistent implementation of clinical, operational, and regulatory initiatives across Anna Jaques Hospital.

This role provides essential policy management, ensuring nursing policies and procedures align with system standards while remaining responsive to AJH-specific operational needs.

The Nursing Director serves as a key leader in financial stewardship, overseeing departmental budgets, productivity, and resource allocation to support high-quality care while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

The position plays a vital role in partnering with peer directors and interdisciplinary leaders, fostering collaboration across departments and strengthening coordinated patient care delivery.

This role is instrumental in enabling AJH to adopt and operationalize system-wide approaches, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, best practices, and performance standards.

The Nursing Director provides local leadership and accountability, translating system initiatives into actionable, sustainable workflows at the hospital level.

This role supports nursing workforce stability and engagement by providing clear leadership, mentorship, and oversight for nurse managers and frontline leaders.

The Nursing Director is essential to maintaining regulatory readiness, quality outcomes, and patient safety, ensuring compliance with accrediting and governing bodies.

Education/Experience Requirements:

BSN graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must be currently enrolled in a Masters program or holding a Masters degree.

Previous acute care and nursing education experience required.

Current Massachusetts RN licensure required. BLS certification preferred.

Pay Range:

$125,000.00 USD - $188,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
