Job Summary
As a Senior Technical Product Engineer, you will be a strategic adviser to the business, providing detailed technical information and feedback to partners, customers, and internal teams. You will work across product teams to drive valuable insights back into Palo Alto Networks, helping to shape our world-class product offerings. This role requires a self-starter who is eager to learn, can work both independently and collaboratively, and can identify and address sales challenges with effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Product Management, and customers to drive innovation and ensure secure, scalable adoption of cloud-native security solutions.
+ Lead complex, cross-functional projects that shape the product roadmap and align with field-driven priorities.
+ Provide actionable feedback to Product Managers to influence development in areas such as cloud posture, workload protection, and identity management.
+ Design and deliver automation content, playbooks, and integrations that address real-world SOC use cases and cloud security risks.
+ Contribute to the evolution of Cortex product capabilities by enhancing visibility, risk prioritization, and policy enforcement across multi-cloud environments.
+ Advocate for best practices in securing modern application architectures using automation, contextual risk insights, and scalable cloud-native controls.
Required Qualifications
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience with one or more major cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) technology.
+ Proven experience managing cross-functional programs in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong technical knowledge of cloud platforms, modern application architectures, and cloud-native security operations use cases.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools like Prisma Cloud to detect and remediate cloud misconfigurations.
+ Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) principles with hands-on experience managing cloud entitlements.
+ Experience in building Security Operations Center (SOC) workflows, incident response playbooks, and SIEM integrations.
+ Proficiency in cloud-native programming, scripting, and automation.
The Team
Product Management - To stay ahead of the curve, it’s critical to know where the curve is and how to anticipate the changes we’re facing. For the fastest-growing cybersecurity company, the curve is the evolution of cyberattacks and the products and services that proactively address them. Our Product Management team helps us do just that. This team provides the behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information for our Systems Engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in and helping to implement technical solutions based on our clients' feedback and needs. As threats and technology evolve, we stay ahead to accomplish our mission.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $134000/YR - $215500/YR.
