**Clinic Hours:** Monday–Friday | 6:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
**Job Type:** Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. _(Hours may vary based on departmental needs)_
**Patient Population:** General Cardiology, Heart Failure, Electrophysiology (EP), Interventional Cardiology

We’re seeking an experienced **Registered Nurse (RN)** to join our leadership team as a **Manager Nursing RN Ambulatory** in our **Cardiovascular Medicine Clinic** . This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a talented nursing team and help shape the future of cardiac care in Central Texas.
Job Summary
The **Manager Nursing RN Ambulatory** is responsible for fostering a healthy, collaborative, and professional work environment for nursing and unit-based personnel. This role oversees clinical operations, resource allocation, staff development, and quality initiatives that align with organizational goals. The position manages less than 60 budgeted FTEs per fiscal year.
Key Responsibilities
+ **Clinical Leadership:** Coordinate and oversee patient care across a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based, and efficient nursing practices.
+ **Quality Improvement:** Drive continuous performance improvement initiatives and support evidence-based clinical research.
+ **Team Development:** Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff; oversee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education.
+ **Patient-Centered Care:** Promote compassionate, high-quality care that respects patient diversity and needs.
+ **Resource Management:** Assist in staffing, budgeting, and operational efficiency to optimize patient outcomes and departmental performance.
+ **Collaboration:** Partner with physicians, allied health professionals, and administrators to ensure seamless, patient-centered care delivery.
+ **Professionalism:** Promote shared governance, ethical practice, and lifelong learning for self and staff.
Qualifications & Key Success Factors
• Current **Registered Nurse (RN)** license required (Texas or compact state)
• Proven leadership experience in an ambulatory or hospital setting preferred
• In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular medicine and outpatient nursing standards
• Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with **Microsoft Office** , electronic health records (EHR), and scheduling systems
• Ability to foster teamwork, manage change, and support professional development
• National specialty certification (to be obtained within two years of appointment)
