Job Title: HR Coordinator
Job Description
The HR Coordinator is responsible for screening resumes and applications against defined hiring criteria, coordinating interviews, and managing candidate communications. This role involves scheduling new-hire orientations, preparing orientation materials, and confirming attendance. The HR Coordinator maintains accurate recruiting activity records, supports hiring events, coordinates onboarding tasks, and assists with offboarding processes. This position also involves updating HR systems, responding to employee inquiries, providing backup support for payroll, and coordinating training logistics.
Responsibilities
+ Screen resumes and applications against defined hiring criteria.
+ Coordinate interviews, pre-employment steps, and candidate communications.
+ Schedule new-hire orientations and prepare orientation materials.
+ Maintain accurate recruiting activity records and compile weekly updates.
+ Support hiring events such as job fairs and onsite interview days.
+ Coordinate onboarding tasks with IT, Payroll, and Facilities.
+ Conduct new-hire orientations and maintain employee files.
+ Assist with offboarding processes and exit interview logistics.
+ Update HR systems and generate routine HR reports.
+ Respond to employee inquiries within service-level expectations.
+ Provide backup support for payroll and timekeeping processes.
+ Uphold confidentiality and data integrity.
+ Coordinate training logistics and facilitate engagement activities.
+ Partner across HR, Talent Acquisition, and plant operations to streamline workflows.
+ Demonstrate action orientation and effective prioritization.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in human resources, HR administration, and recruiting.
+ 1–2+ years of experience in recruiting or HR within a manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with ATS/HRIS and job boards.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Effective listening and attention to detail.
+ Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
+ Experience in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented context.
+ Comfortable interacting with candidates, employees, and leadership both in person and virtually.
Work Environment
The position is 100% onsite, working closely with the HR Generalist in Cleveland, OH.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
