    Position Title:

    Manufacturing Management Associate – Project Engineer - Leadership Development Program

    **Pay Range:** $82,000 – $92,000

     

    _**Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities, and geographic location will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range._

     

    _**Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short –term incentive plan_ .

    Program Overview:

    The **Manufacturing Manager Associate Program** offers a unique **leadership pathway** , with opportunities now available at several of our 160+ U.S. manufacturing plants. These facilities manufacture **sustainable packaging solutions** for local and national customers.

    The Job You Will Perform:

    + Develop knowledge of key manufacturing metrics and their impacts on the business; seek opportunities to enhance

    + performance to best in class

    + Accompany project engineers on a variety of complexity assigned projects to better understand the engineering process

    + and the mechanical, electrical, and scheduling/organizational requirements for corrugated equipment installations

    + Gain comprehensive understanding of applicable industry governing codes in addition to federal health & safety

    + policies/laws

    + Become educated in project management responsibilities include organizing/planning, scoping & bidding, coordination of

    + schedule, and managing projects

    + Become familiar with the engineering practices used in installation of corrugated manufacturing equipment and/or plant

    + infrastructure improvements

    + Knowledge and understanding of contractor services – mechanical, electrical, and structural

     

    Upon successful integration with the company and understanding of the industry and business segment, the Manufacturing

     

    Management Associate will be expected to take on role as a project engineer and project manager in support of the business.

    The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

    + Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university is required.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project

    + Proficiency with AutoCAD software to create, view and modify drawings for comparative evaluation and final project

    + construction/installation; utilize AutoCAD software to create and modify plant layouts, equipment layouts & foundation

    + drawings for contractor bid packages.

    + Direct experience or internship with a manufacturing company is a plus.

     

    Successful candidates will have problem solving skills, be action oriented, ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities, competency in functional and technical subjects, communication skills, computer skills and the ability to work in a team

     

    environment. Candidate’s ability to travel is required; duration of travel can exceed a week. Permanent relocation to Memphis is not required.
