Pay Range:
$36.05 - $41.83/hourly
Job Location:
Vishay Applied Thin Film Products is in Fremont, CA.
What you will be doing:
+ Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance
+ Responsible for the optimal functioning of all equipment on premises
+ Modify equipment and troubleshooting malfunctions of equipment
+ Check and work with chemical levels of all systems
+ Monitor motor controls and change drive belts
+ Monitor wastewater system and make repairs
+ Maintain and update maintenance records and data files
+ Support the building facilities manager as necessary
+ Create special-purpose machines at instruction of engineers
+ Record corrective actions and upgrades
+ May be required to perform other duties
What you will bring along:
+ High School diploma or equivalent. Technical school/Associate degree a plus
+ 2-4 years of experience
+ Working weekends, evenings and other overtime is a requirement
+ Background in technical machine work, troubleshoot
+ Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings and follow written instructions
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
+ Must have experience in the use of hand tools, power tools
+ Ability to learn electrical, plumbing, air conditioning and other mechanical skills
+ Must have current California driver’s license
+ Computer skills, data entry experience and proven working knowledge of computer usage (Word, Excel)
+ Proficient in English. Must have good English communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
+ Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
+ Able to prioritize job flows, schedule and manage time efficiently
+ Strong problem solving and multi-tasking abilities required
+ Well organized and able to work independently
Work Environment
Work is performed primarily in an office/lab environment; adheres to required safety and dress standards to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, talk, and listen. May be required to sit, stand, walk for periods of time; bend, stoop, and twist using full range of motion; perform various repetitive fine grasping motions; uses a variety of small hand tools to perform various operations when required; lift 25 to 50 pounds, operate a computer and enter information using a keyboard, operate a telephone, and other office equipment for an extended period of time. As some visual inspection duties will also be required, specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Some physical strength and stamina are required for regular cleaning duties. May be exposed to hot/cold conditions, high-volume noise, exposure to stored energy hazards (electricity, compressed gases, etc.), and/or hazardous materials such as chemicals (e.g. alcohol, acetone, acids, solvents and photo resist) or particulate matter.
May be requested to work overtime and weekends to suit operational needs.
