    The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for manufacturing capability, continuity and continuous improvement. This includes documentation and performance measurement of manufacturing processes, new product introduction, improvements to production lines, capital expenditures, cost savings measures and fixture design. The Manufacturing Engineer also participates in the resolution of issues and improvements to IT infrastructure and production systems. Projects owned by this position will be key components in the realization of the factory vision.

    You will make an impact by:

    + Supporting process development, improvements, and validations during the production of our products to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met. This position investigates problems, conducts root cause analysis, and takes corrective action.

    + Responsible for the research, purchase, and implementation of new/upgraded equipment (to include the implementation of digitalization and digital processes).

    + Assures specific quality guidelines are met and, if vital, takes appropriate actions to correct problems.

    + Leads, develops and coordinates departmental improvements projects and standard operating procedures.

    + Analyzes data to identify root causes of defects and implements appropriate countermeasures

    + Identifies processes and equipment implementations to improve quality and productivity

    + Reduces scrap and waste opportunities for increasing capacity

    + Creates, reports and documents processes, training, and equipment implementation

    + Manages improvement projects that may require capital expenditures, contractors, cost savings calculations, CAD design and physical installation work

    + Designs, procures, and validates fixtures, tools, and shop aides

    + Applies Lean manufacturing improvements, sophisticated process changes, and technology changes including process development, training support production team on proper methods of assembly and propose improvements to build processes.

    + Coordinates and communicates technical information to all levels of the organization including vendors, project managers, production team members, and operations managers.

    + Monitors activities: KPIs, dashboards, progress reports, budgets, etc.;

    + Supports design, development, and specifications for factory and business unit improvements

    + As appropriate, serves as an Instructor/Trainer of technical skills and processes

    You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

    + 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment

    + Knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent technical drawing software

    + Lean manufacturing techniques

    + Experience with SAP or similar ERP system

    + Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes

    + Ability to measure, design/specify and install fixtures and equipment

    + Proficiency in data collection and analysis

    + Understanding of Supply-Chain Management and/or Internal Logistics

    + Common knowledge of tools (saw, impact wrench, drill, wrench)

    + Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
