THE POSITION
The Department of Environmental Protection is on the lookout for a highly organized and detail-oriented administrative professional to fill the role of Clerical Assistant 1 for a limited term. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is a full-time, limited-term opportunity to assist the Vector Management Laboratory and Bureau of Laboratories in the receipt, entry into database, tracking, organization, and storage of arthropod samples collected from across the Commonwealth. Responsibilities include data entry into databases, tracking, organizing, and storing samples, while adhering to established clerical procedures. The role involves a range of routine clerical tasks, such as reviewing and processing documents, entering data into computer systems, preparing paperwork, and assisting the public with governmental forms and inquiries. Initially, work will be conducted under close supervision, with detailed guidance provided for new processes; however, employees are expected to operate with increasing independence as they become familiar with the procedures.

Work hours and additional information:
+ Limited Term (6 month), Full-Time employment.
+ Work hours are 7 :00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch .
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual rate of $17.38 per hour (before taxes).
