Job Description:

To maintain a variety of properties for PruittHealth in Northeast Georgia and nearby South Carolina properties. Perform maintenance, grounds/lawncare services, and occasional routine building maintenance to enhance the Pruitt properties and provide a hazard-free work environment. Service lawncare equipment and company vehicles. Plan, supervise, coordinate, assist with scheduling, and assign jobs to maintenance team.

Essential Skill/Knowledge Functions:

1. Perform routine maintenance of air conditioners/heaters by changing out the air filters

2. Assists with major cleaning projects as needed.

3. Perform generator testing and routine maintenance as scheduled/needed at the Pharmacy and NE Georgia and nearby South Carolina locations.

4. Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as requested.

5. Maintain the grounds of Pruitt Properties in Toccoa NE Georgia and nearby South Carolina locations to see that they are free of trash and debris; may include mowing of lawn, trimming hedges, weeding, etc.

6. Remove furniture and other items as needed.

7. Install and check batteries for smoke alarms as needed.

8. Maintain and replace electrical outlets, light bulbs, and rewire or replace wiring in various equipment.

9. Complete general maintenance, plumbing repair, replace and unclogging hair traps, unplugging toilets, repairing washers and dryer, replacing broken pipes/water lines etc.

10. Build various structures for the use of the patients, e.g., benches, flower boxes, and other carpentry work requiring the use of various materials (wood, plaster, cement, nails, etc.)

11. Use electrical tools and equipment when appropriate. (Including volt meter, drills, saws, etc.)

12. Use pressure washer as requested.

Essential Administrative Functions:

1. Assist as needed, in center/agency surveys (Licensure / JCAHO) and any subsequently required reports.

2. Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast of changes in your field as well as to maintain current license/certification, as required.

3. Attend and participate in mandatory in-services.

4. Honor patients/residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints.

5. Comply with corporate compliance program.

6. Report job-related functions/tasks that involve occupational hazards.

7. Follow established safety regulations, to include fire protection & prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.

8. Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment.

9. Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.
