Job Description

The Custodial Associate for the **Bradshaw Fitness Center** is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and guests. This position plays a key role in supporting daily fitness center operations by ensuring high-traffic areas, locker rooms, and equipment spaces are cleaned and maintained to established standards.

Job Responsibilities

+ Clean and sanitize fitness center areas including workout floors, locker rooms, restrooms, offices, and common spaces

+ Disinfect fitness equipment and high-touch surfaces throughout the shift

+ Restock restroom and locker room supplies (paper products, soap, empty towel bins etc.)

+ Empty trash and recycling containers and ensure proper disposal

+ Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly

+ Follow all custodial procedures, safety guidelines, and chemical handling standards

+ Provide friendly and professional interactions with fitness center patrons and staff

+ Support special cleanings, events, or operational needs as assigned **Schedule**

+ **Intermediate Shift:** 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

+ Must be reliable and punctual; some flexibility may be required during peak usage or events

Qualifications

+ Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required (training provided)

+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift

+ Comfortable working in a high-traffic, active environment

+ Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented **Physical Requirements**

+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

+ Ability to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for extended periods
