About the role
As **full stack software engineer** , you will make an impact by implementing your experience with Material UI Object Oriented, JavaScript, NextJs, ReactJs, CSS 3.0, TypeScript, NodeJS, and HTML 5 to meet business requirements. You will be a valued member of the Engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient solutions.
In this role, you will:
• Develop robust and scalable web applications using NextJs and ReactJs to enhance user experience and meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Implement responsive design principles using CSS 3.0 and HTML 5 to ensure applications are visually appealing and accessible across devices.
• Utilize Object Oriented JavaScript to create modular and maintainable code improving application performance and reliability.
• Integrate Material UI components to streamline the development process and maintain consistency in design across applications.
• Leverage TypeScript for type-safe coding practices reducing errors and improving code quality.
• Work with NodeJS to develop server-side logic ensuring seamless integration with front-end applications.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and deliverables.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends applying new knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
• Optimize application performance through profiling and refactoring ensuring efficient resource utilization.
• Participate in Agile development processes contributing to sprint planning retrospectives and daily stand-ups.
• Document technical specifications and user guides facilitating knowledge transfer and supporting future development efforts.
**Work model:** Hybrid.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring X days a week in a client or Cognizant office in **Plano, TX** .

What you need to have to be considered:
• 7+ years of strong expertise in Material UI Object Oriented, JavaScript, NextJs, ReactJs, CSS 3.0, TypeScript, NodeJS, and HTML 5 essential for developing high-quality applications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in responsive design principles ensuring applications are accessible and visually appealing across devices.
• Exhibit experience in Agile methodologies contributing to efficient project management and delivery.
• Showcase ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ensuring project timelines are met.
• Display knowledge of emerging technologies applying new insights to enhance project outcomes.

These will help you stand out:
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Strong communication (written & verbal) & interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving & analytical skills.
• Have experience in code reviews and providing feedback fostering a collaborative development environment.
• Show capability in documenting technical specifications supporting knowledge transfer and future development efforts.

Salary and compensation:
The annual salary for this position will be between $60,000 to $114,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
