About the role

As **full stack software engineer** , you will develop and maintain high-quality web applications using Material UI ensuring a consistent and visually appealing user interface. You will be a valued member of the Engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using Material UI ensuring a consistent and visually appealing user interface.

• Implement Object Oriented JavaScript to create scalable and efficient code structures that enhance application performance.

• Utilize Next Js to build server-side rendered applications optimizing for speed and user experience.

• Leverage React Js to design dynamic and responsive components that improve user interaction and engagement.

• Apply CSS 3.0 techniques to ensure cross-browser compatibility and maintain a modern aesthetic across all platforms.

• Integrate TypeScript to enhance code reliability and facilitate easier maintenance through type safety.

• Utilize Node JS for server-side development ensuring robust and scalable backend solutions.

• Employ HTML 5 to structure web content effectively ensuring accessibility and semantic correctness.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

**Work model:** Hybrid.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring X days a week in a client or Cognizant office in **Plano, TX** .

What you need to have to be considered:

• 10+ years of demonstrate expertise in Material UI showcasing the ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.

• Possess strong proficiency in Object Oriented JavaScript with a proven track record of developing scalable applications.

• Exhibit extensive experience with NextJs highlighting the ability to optimize applications for performance and speed.

• Showcase advanced skills in ReactJs with a focus on creating dynamic and responsive web components.

• Display proficiency in CSS 3.0 ensuring cross-browser compatibility and modern design aesthetics.

• Have a solid understanding of TypeScript emphasizing the importance of type safety and code reliability.

• Demonstrate experience with Node JS showcasing the ability to develop robust server-side applications.

• Possess a deep understanding of HTML 5 ensuring semantic correctness and accessibility in web content.

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
