Full Stack Web Developer

(Python, AWS Bedrock, Pandas, Pentaho) Contract Opening Remote with infrequent office visits in Washington, DC US Citizenship, eligibility for Public Trust Clearance required W2 Hourly Rate: $75/hr. range. Benefits available System One IT has an immediate, remote, and contract opening for a Full Stack Web Developer with strong skills in Python, JavaScript, GitLab, AWS Bedrock, Pandas, Pentaho, and MS SQL Server. This role will support a federal end-customer. US Citizenship with eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required. Infrequent office visits in Washington, DC, may be necessary. Seeking candidates who are local to the DMV area. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Full Stack Web Developer will be responsible for:

+ Web development using open-source web programming languages - Python

+ JavaScript development using modern standards, including strict mode compliance, modularization techniques and tools, and frameworks and libraries (e.g., jQuery, React, Vue, Angular, D3). Conduct backlog grooming, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories

+ Developing and consuming web-based, RESTful APIs. Define the product release plans and set expectations for the delivery of new functionalities

+ Using and working in team environments that use agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Lean)

+ Authoring developer-friendly documentation (e.g., API documentation, deployment operations)

+ Use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitLab

+ Quickly researching and learning new programming tools and techniques

+ Ensuring Section 508 Compliance

+ Relational and non-relational database systems

+ Scalable search technology (e.g., ElasticSearch, Solr)

+ Using and working with open-source solutions and the community

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Full Stack Developer must satisfy the following minimum qualifications:

+ Experience using modern web development tools, techniques, and methods for the creation and deployment of user-facing interfaces and backend web applications, including all aspects of server-side processing, data storage, and integration

+ Is comfortable working in an agile and lean environment to routinely deploy changes

+ Is capable of working independently to build functional, secure, and accessible web applications from conception to production deployment

+ 5+ years of related experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Full Stack Web Developer should ideally have the following specific skills and expertise:

+ Experience using LLMs and other machine learning technologies to build text classifiers that label unstructured text into predefined categories, especially AWS Bedrock

+ Custom software development for Machine Learning in Python using common libraries, Pandas

+ Expertise with building Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines and enterprise ETL tools such as Pentaho

+ Building frontend applications using TypeScript and common JavaScript frameworks, especially React, Vue, and Next

+ Expertise with building Node.js backend applications, including REST API endpoints

+ Expertise in designing code integrations and queries for common SQL and NoSQL database technologies, such as Microsoft SQL Server

+ Familiar with git version control systems and GitLab in particular
