    Job Summary

     

    With 16 locations and over 1,450 employees, including 850 skilled tradesmen throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, New Jersey, Maryland, and West Virginia, S.A. Comunale can work in virtually every market sector and facility type.

     
     

    This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with a focus towards customer development and support, quality work performance, and an understanding of various types of alarm systems. It will require travel to customer sites and may require occasional overnight travel.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    + Occasionally must train Alarm Technician Trainees.

    + Ability to work on low voltage systems.

    + Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program Fire Alarm, Access Control, Nurse Call Intrusion, Sound, CCTV, and IP Video Systems.

    + Accurately complete all required paperwork, such as Work Tickets and Inspection and/or Deficiency Reports, for all service calls and inspections.

    + Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

    + Provide detailed oral and written feedback to management concerning customer issues.

    + Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and customers.

    + Participate in department on-call rotation and work flexible hours as required.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED is required.

    + 2+ years’ experience in the Fire Alarm or Security industry is required.

    + Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.

    + Strong technical skills and the ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes is required.

    + Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.

    + Familiarity with computers and business applications (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is required.

    + Ohio Fire Alarm License is required.

    + NICET I fire alarm certification is a plus.

    + Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding is required.

    + Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) applications required.

    + Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.

    + Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management is required.

    + Demonstrating integrity and professionalism is required.

    + Demonstrating commitment to company values is required.

    + Excellent organizational skills are required.

    + Ability to follow-up on tasks and assignments in a timely manner is required.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The physical strength rating is classified as very hard work which entails exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force, 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Environmental conditions of this position are extremely wide ranging including inside, outside, extreme hot, extreme cold, fumes, odors, toxic conditions, dust poor ventilation, hazards, humid, loud noises, vibrations, and wet. This position frequently requires protective equipment for arms, eyes, feet, head, hearing, full body, leg, respirator, and skin. Operation of a computer, hand tools (manual and power), a telephone, calculator, shop machinery, and lab equipment are required. Understanding simple math, simple drawings, technical reports, technical instructions, and simple memos is required. Writing technical reports and simple memos is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to customer and company locations by land and air.
