Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations and providing therapy services in accordance with individualized plans of care and physician’s orders. This role ensures compliance with all professional standards and district requirements while supporting students’ communication and language development.
Minimum Requirements
+ Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment
+ Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred (may be required by state/contract)
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
