Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support a Correctional Facility in Santa Ana, CA!

Pharmacy Technician

+ Setting - Correctional facility

+ Location - Santa Ana, CA

+ Schedule - 10-20 hours weekly to start with potential for additional hours based on performance

+ Shifts - 7am-5:30pm or 10am-8:30pm

+ Start date - ASAP upon Amergis completion

+ Pay - $24/hr - WEEKLY PAY!

Job Duties

+ Prepare daily patient medications utilizing the automated packaging machine

+ Accurately fill prescriptions

+ Fill and maintain nursing station automated dispensing cabinets

+ Conduct monthly nursing unit medication inspections

+ Maintain pharmacy inventory and order cost effective medication utilizing the Cardinal Health online system

+ Maintain vaccine inventory for the Vaccines for Children program

+ Maintain and coordinate the delivery and pick-up of medications with an outside courier transporting between facilities

+ Prepare and submit purchase requisitions

+ Prepare and submit service request forms to Storeroom for supplies and deliveries

+ Prepare and submit monthly billing for United States Federal Marshal prisoners

+ Maintain and update monthly pharmacy records and statistics

+ Securely transport medications

Requirements

+ Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician

+ Ability to pass Orange County Sherriff's Department full background check (including interview with a deputy, lengthy questionnaire, credit check, references)
