Addiction Counselor – Crownsville, MD

Start Date: ASAP – rolling start dates

Shift: Day Shift (M–F), 40 hours/week -

Schedule:

+ Full-time: Monday–Friday, day shift; occasional evenings/weekends as needed

+ Typical hours are 8a-430p

Interview Process: Prefer in-person; virtual available if necessary

Feedback Time: 24–48 hours

A nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive treatment and support for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Operates across the northeastern U.S., and offers a wide range of services.

Licensure Requirements (one of the below – CSCs and CACs preferred)

• Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) – MD Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists

Job Responsibilities

• Manage client caseload and complete required evaluations (intake, ASAM, biopsychosocial).

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions aligned with treatment goals.

• Document all clinical services in EHR within required timeframes.

• Coordinate with community resources for comprehensive care and assist with discharge planning.

• Participate in reviews, recommend treatment lengths, and ensure post-discharge follow-up per guidelines.
